General Terms and Conditions

The terms and conditions contained in this document are confidential and to be shared with the Student, Students Family and American Future Skills.

• Parents/Guardians/Students are fully aware they embarking on an application process that may or may not result in the offer of a U.S. Soccer or Golf Scholarship.

 

• American Future Skills Scholarship registration fee £170.00 and U.S. Summer Sports Camps registration deposits of £195 for one week and £390 for two weeks (registration fee's and deposits are non refundable) American Future Skills will provide guidance during the application process. If it becomes necessary for American Future Skills to travel and view the Student playing a competitive game the students Parents/Guardians shall be responsible for all travelling and out of pocket
  expenses incurred by American Future Skills in carrying out this task.

 

• A client may terminate the application procedure at any time, all registration fee's paid up to and including the cancellation date are non refundable. A termination of the application process will be considered void if the client enrols at a US College/University that American Future Skills has been in contact with in order to support the Student's application, within 28 months of signing the American Future Skills registration form.

 

• The Student/Family will be responsible for all outside agency fees such as the Clearinghouse fee's, Examination board fee, SAT & TOEFL registration and exam fees (non refundable).

 

• The Student/Family are responsible for providing American Future Skills with a high quality video(s) highlights of the Student playing at least one competitive game/variety of golf shots. The Student/Students Family will be required to provide a C.V. detailing the students full Education, Sports history to date and to be updated if aand when the students circumstances change.

 

• American Future Skills will promote the High School Students educational and sports abilities to U.S. Coaches/Colleges/Universities. American Future Skills will forward any scholarship/ financial aid/award offers to the Students/Students family.
  If U.S. Coaches/Colleges/Universities makes direct contact with the Students/Students family with an offer of a scholarship/financial aid/academic award the Students/Students family must immediately inform American Future Skills.    

 

• All U.S. scholarship/financial aid secured on behalf of a Student/Students family through the efforts of American Future Skills and accepted by the student/family - American Future Skills shall receive a fee payable by the U.K. Students/Family of 2.7% of the four year soccer or golf academic scholarships/financial aid/grant awards offered by the American Coach/College/University. This fee to be settled no later than 4 weeks from the date of the Student/Families acceptance of the golf/soccer/academic scholarships/financial aid package. All calculations from U.S. Dollars to U.K. Pounds will use the following exchange rate: $1.50 to £1.00.
  Example: Scholarship offer - 1st year = £15,000 x 4 = £60,000 x 2.7% - A.F.S. fee will be £1,620. 

• If the High School Students/Family does not accept any of the scholarship/financial aid/awards offers from a U.S. Soccer or Golf Coach/College/University, the American Future Skills 2.7% fee will be waived.
• The High School Student/Students family agree to American Future Skills using all the information provided by them, including but not limited to the Students profile/pictures/videos/DVD'S/educational/sports and family contact details on the American Future Skills website and promotional materials without charge until the client has signed a National Letter of Intent/scholarship athletic award.

In case of controversy in the interpretation or application of the contents of the terms and conditions, the High School Student/Family and American Future Skills agree to submit all litigation to the jurisdiction and competence of the U.K. Courts and the laws in force.

 

DATA PROTECTION ACT

In accordance with the above act, American Future Skills must obtain your permission to retain details about you and your enquiry.

 We the Parents/Guardians/Students agree to our details being held by American Future Skills. American Future Skills will not be held responsible for any repercussions as a result of wrong, misleading or omitted information provided by the Parents/Guardians/Students.

Payment of the American Future Skills registration fee or the Summer Sports Camp(s) deposits (non refundable) is confirmation you have read, understood and accept the American Future Skills Terms & Conditions.
